liquidators are not permitted to deal.

Brums & Reif. (Austrian). Reif is a naturalized British subject

still carrying on the business.

Carlowitz & Co. Rayner, originally a partner

is carrying on the business with a former employer/of Carlowitz & Co, at Shanghai and at first employed men who were rejected by Hongkong Government. His money was left in Carlowitz & Co. when he retired.

Deutsche Asiatische Bank. Liquidated by the Hongkong & Shanghai Bank with whom they are in close relations over Chinese Government finance.

Garrels Borner & Co. Liquidated by W.G. Worcester, a brother-in-

law of the senior partner, who is now carrying on the business as V.G. Worcester & Co.

Radecker & Cq. Chinese agents are still being paid their salaries

by the liquidator,

Sander Vieler & Co. J.H. Backhouse who signed "per pro" for the

firm is carrying on their business under their old trade zark,

Tendt & Co.

Business carried on by W.A. Hannibal, a British subject and their former "per prò".

Lambe & Rogzę is carried on by Snowman, under his own name,

though British, was always known as a prominent member of the German community.

Biomasan & Co. Business carried on by their "per pro" J.Manners, reported to be very pro-German; though British born; he went

to Germany as a child.

Viderum à Schulter was a branch of Jebsen & Co., and was run by

their employee. The firm is bankrupt but apparently Jebsen & Co's money has not been appropriated to to balance their accounts.
